Siamese Crocodile sightseeing (Tropeang Bobos Touch and Tropeang Bobos Thom)

Siamese Crocodile, or Mountain Crocodile, as the local people like to call them, is endangered species and live along the Areng River in Tropeang Bobos Touch and Tropeang Bobos Thom. This species is not dangerous to humans, and they can be spotted by tourists who wait quietly. NGO conservation projects are working to preserve the crocodiles in the area.
Every year in March, local people organize a fishing ceremony in the lake. Many crocodiles live in the area, but local people pray for protection before entering the water to catch fish. (More history of the ceremony can be found at the CBET center)
